Poofy Things That I Can't Get Enough Of

Salsify is also called goat's beard. The leaves are grass-like and the flower head is similar to dandelion but much larger. The seed head also resembles dandelion but again is much larger and on the gray side. A purple flowered species, Tragopogon porrifolius, is called oyster plant because the boiled roots are said to taste like oysters. The purple one is rare in New Jersey but the yellow one has become quite prevalent in recent years. A problem mostly in nurseries.

These Poofy Things Look Small, But They Are In Fact, Very Big. They resemble Nuked Dandelions In the Parachute Stage. Everyday One More Poofy Thing Opens Up To Where a Flowerhead Used to be

This Morning Photo's of the Indigio Bunting at the Bird Feeder

Anytime a bird of a different color arrives in my neck of the woods, it's a thrill.  This Indigio Bunting with it's bluer than blue feathers was a real treat to photograph. Feathered Friends with gay bright and vivid colors make the world a much more un-dull, more interesting place to be that's for sure. I like the little wren's that nobody would  twice at and how they can belt out a tune like nobody's tomorrow,  if the little wren's were vivid blue and belted out their tunes, now that's an Elton Johnlike bird worth imaging about.

..........And having a strong sense of  the sarcastic and satirical sense of humor in the political sense of the word, I couldn't resist to add yet another politically incorrect statement to the bird food mix. Indigio Buntings are from South America by the way. They just pass through on their way to somewhere else.

One SunBather, So Many Big Beaufiful Billowy Clouds

This certain cloud mass kept changing and I kept snapping pictures as it did so. I'd close my eyes for 2 minutes and presto chango it had changed again.  I continued to do this for about a half
hour.  The sky picture kept changing and I snapped picture after picture.

One Bee, One Flowering Tree.....So Many Pictures

One Bee.....I followed one bee with my camera and came up with these pictures.  For anyone who's tried to capture a buzzing bee on film, you know you better bee fast.  Bees Buzz from flower to flower at a high rate of speed.  Especially if the flowerheads are small.

Metamorphisis

Anyone who visits here, knows I like dandelions.  What other people see as a noxious weed, I eat.  While others see  something to spray Round Up on, I see beauty.  Yes, I do not like weeding my garden and surrounding area of dandelions.  But dandelions can provide a service to us all.  The Vitamins contained in the dandelion greens are rich in iron and Vitamin D. I also adore Queen Anne's Lace, another weed (of the carrot family) that I think is gorgeous.

I do not like domesticated roses.  Give me a bunch of wildflowers on Mother's Day that you picked somewhere fresh (and free) and I'll be happy camper.
